Our Impact

Since launching as a workers’ co-operative we’ve been keen to understand our impact. We've released our first ever impact report for 2024, and here's some of the highlights of the past year:

47 events delivered
900+ attendees
200 mushroom buckets made
40m of logs inoculated with mycelium
20 wheelie bin wormeries made
200+ hours of work from our volunteers

We also received great feedback from those attending our events:

88.6% rated our events 9/10 or higher
98.4% learned something new
94.3% felt more connected to nature
91.1% felt their mental wellbeing improve

As well as running our own events, we've also worked in some great partnerships! In addition to our lovely site at Platt Fields Market Gardens in partnership with Manchester Urban Diggers, we've also worked with local organisations such as Haigh Woodland Park, Portland Basin Museum, and Ladybarn Community Centre. We also worked with national organisations like Kew Gardens and Co-op.

As a trans-led co-operative with a number of members with disabilities, we're also proud to say that our events have been inclusive to both the trans and disabled community, based on feedback from both groups.

If you'd like to learn more about our impact in 2024, you can find a full report here, and summary slides here.
